Senators Introduce Bipartisan Bill To Extend Type 1 Diabetes Research Program

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) introduced a bill Tuesday (July 8) that would reauthorize the Special Diabetes Program (SDP) through the end of 2027. Republican and Democratic senators from both parties are pushing to reauthorize a type 1 diabetes program run by the National Institutes of Health that is set to expire Sept. 30.
