Senator Collins visited the Mid-Maine Technical Center in Waterville on Monday, touring the center’s newest program with students and staff. The senator viewed MMTC’s engineering and manufacturing program after securing over $10 million in federal funding to support workforce development in Maine.
Over $700,000 of the funding supported MMTC’s purchase of machine tooling and 3D metal printing equipment. Senator Collins says the program is an investment in Maine’s future by preparing students for life after school.
