The town of Clinton’s former fire department has stood for over 75 years, and on Tuesday, the town received a massive upgrade. The Fire Department held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of their new station next to the town office. The ceremony included comments from Sen. Susan Collins, as well as local officials and emergency personnel. “This is going to not only make response times quicker, but it also enhances the health and safety of our emergency personnel, said Collins. Last year, Collins secured $2 million in congressional district spending, which helped fund the project.
