The state of Maine is in the midst of what many are calling an EMS crisis. As we continue to see a shortage of healthcare and emergency services, Senator Susan Collins has helped secure funding for EMS programs at Eastern Maine Community College as they work to train the next generation.
When people make a 9-1-1 call, they expect a trained professional will be there to help.
“If you’re an older person with health problems, you want to be sure that there’s an ambulance with trained EMTs available to serve you,” said Senator Susan Collins.
