In the politically charged environment we find ourselves in, it seems nearly impossible for our elected leaders to work together, across party lines, to achieve good work for the American public.

Though I don’t always agree with Sen. Susan Collins’ decisions, she showed real leadership in her capacity as chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee by her commitment to advance bipartisan and bicameral budget bills.
