The thousands of Maine fishermen who make their living on the sea will have Sen. Susan Collins’ back this November, because she’s always had our back.
I am a lobsterman who lobsters out of Cushing. When Democrats tried to unfairly regulate one of Maine’s most successful, important and historically significant industries, Sen. Collins secured funding so that we could continue our work powering Maine’s economy and feeding the country.
When Democrats tried to start wind farms in our lobstering territory, Sen. Collins sent a letter to the Bureau of Ocean Management to ensure our territory wouldn’t be invaded and our livelihood threatened.
And when Democrats tried to take away the ropes we must use for lobstering, Sen. Collins stepped in and helped small lobster boats keep their gear.
Maine is not Maine without its lobstermen, and there’s only one candidate for Senate who appreciates that fact. She respects our tradition, and understands basic economics. Lobstermen like myself will turn out for Sen. Collins.
