FRYEBURG, ME — Today, Senator Susan Collins and her campaign team visited the Fryeburg Fair where she toured the grounds and met with Maine families and community leaders and stopped by the 4-H auction. First held in 1851, the Fryeburg Fair is the state of Maine’s largest agricultural fair.
“It was a great day at the Fryeburg Fair, a can’t miss fall tradition for so many Maine families. One thing I love about the Fryeburg Fair is that it stays true to the rich agricultural roots of our state, which are a wonderful part of our heritage. Thank you to Jack Wadsworth, Vice President of the Fryeburg Fair for giving my team and me a tour of the fairgrounds,” said Senator Collins.
A member of the Senate 4-H Caucus, Senator Collins has been a champion of Maine agriculture and Maine’s current and future farmers and growers. She has worked to keep Maine at the forefront of agriculture research, has been a national leader in the fight to protect Maine farmland and animals from dangerous forever chemicals like PFAS, and has supported disaster relief funding for speciality crops.
