“It was clear from the beginning that Senator Collins is running to serve Maine, and Troy Jackson thinks he’s running against Donald Trump.

“Troy spent most of the night repeating lies about Senator Collins’ record that have been rejected multiple times by independent fact checkers. Senator Collins started and ended her evening talking about her record of delivering for all of Maine, from Madawaska to Kittery and from Eastport to Rumford.

“Tonight might have gone better for Troy if he had actually had to campaign for this nomination, instead of having it handed to him by party delegates. This job wasn’t Troy’s first choice… and Mainers didn’t have a choice.”
