Collins for Senator Campaign ends quarter with more than $5.1 million in the bank

Collins campaign has raised more than $6.5 million total; has led in fundraising for 6 consecutive quarters

PORTLAND, Maine-- U.S. Senator Susan Collins' reelection campaign today released fundraising figures for the second quarter of 2008. Final numbers filed today with the FEC show the campaign raised a total of $1,056,469, which began April 1st and ended June 30th. The Collins for Senator campaign reported it has raised a total of $6,583,983, and that it has more than $5.133 million cash on hand. In addition, this is the 6th consecutive quarter that the Collins for Senator campaign has raised more than its closest competitor.
