Posted November 2nd, 2008 by staffSenator Collins spent time at the Bangor Civic Center today, for the Bangor Arts & Crafts Show. She had the chance to speak with many artists and visitors, including a quilter named Carole Halteman. Carole is part of an organization called Quilts of Valor, from their website:

Penobscot River Restoration Project
Posted February 8th, 2008 by SusanWhen I am not in a hurry, I travel back from my camp on Cold Stream Pond to my home in Bangor along Route 2, rather than on Interstate 95, so that I can drive along the Penobscot River. In the fall, in particular, the reflection of the foliage on the river is absolutely beautiful. That perhaps explains why I am so excited about the Penobscot River Restoration Project.
